Join us and key local stakeholders for a walk focusing on EARLY EDUCATION in Charlotte. Helping lead our conversation are special guests Munro Richardson of READ Charlotte, Ann Doss Helms of WFAE, Thelma Byers-Bailey of Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education, among others. WHY EARLY EDUCATION? Reading proficiency in 3rd grade is a critical predictor of school, career and life success. According to READ Charlotte, the pandemic has severely impacted CMS 3rd grade reading scores. Mobilizing NOW is a vital. Grab a friend, wear a mask and come learn about the initiatives in place to strengthen early education in our community and what YOU can do to help support these efforts.
